Will post my question here in addition to sending it via the form.

Mike, in your opinion, have the Lightning improved or regressed in the following areas?

Forwards : the entire third line is gone. Johnson is gone. Perry, Bellemare, and Syracuse guys will fill the void.

Defense : Schenn is gone, Bogosian is in. Sustr is back on the depth chart.

Goalie : McElBackup is gone, Elliot is in.

Bonus question : How many goals does Seabrook score this year?

Bonus: Seabrook 0000 goals lol!

That 3rd line in playoffs was really the second line via minutes played and I think u posted how many goals in regular season like 35 or something.

Bogosian was good in Toronto. He was frustrated with border issues and was given the 3 years

Elliot was bad but Phillie was worse and he was good the year b4

That 3rd line (defacto second line) was Lightning in a bottle. No combination of the current plugs will make up for that loss. We need a youngster or two to step up and fill that void. If Colton can continue to contribute and if Joseph maintains or improves, then the loss of that 3rd line becomes more palatable.

Bogo was better than advertised, so if he repeats his last go-round with the Bolts, then he's a definite upgrade over Schenn.

Elliot can't possibly be worse than McElhinney.......can he? LOL.

Which one of the AHLer kids do think can make the 3rd line?
Raddysh ABB or maybe Katchouk?

Preseason should be interesting this season!

I wish I could hazard a semi-educated guess, but I honestly don't know enough about any of them. ABB didn't exactly impress during his call-up, but it's probably unfair to judge him on such a small sample size. Raddysh and Katchouk are total unknowns. While AHL production is a good sign, it doesn't necessarily translate to the NHL. We won't know what we really have with them until they get some ice time in the big league.
